This design for a lightwell offered our client the unique opportunity of an additional outside room to their property. We created a calming, green space, where they can retreat - see the sky and feel the elements. Three unique tree ferns and other shade tolerant species fill the space, a monolithic oak bench provides seating. A textured concrete backdrop, combined with a carpet of evergreen grasses and sedges, bring to mind a contemporary grotto, colonised by ferns.
