A contemporary garden design for a house in Hertfordshire. The house is cut into a steep hillside with a small woodland to the rear and a number of mature trees to the side boundaries. The new garden grounds the house, linking the space to the wider countryside. The garden responds to the large building volumes with a series of terraces punctuated by sculptural trees and topiary. A grey limestone ties in the various garden spaces including a reflective water pool, an outdoor fireplace and an dining terrace. To read more about this garden click here.

A contemporary house has been cut into a steep hillside with a small woodland belt to the rear and a number of mature trees to the side boundaries grounding the house and linking the space to the wider countryside. The garden responds to the large building volumes by laying out a series of terraces punctuated by sculptural trees and topiary. A grey limestone has been used throughout to tie in the various garden spaces which include a reflective water pool, outdoor fireplace and entertaining terrace.
