'For this north-facing courtyard garden, which is fully visible through glazed doors of the sitting room, and is overlooked by neighbours. George Cullis MSGD has created a haven of calm with evergreen shrubs and climbers, herbaceous perennials and a Lamus 'Evereste'. Horizontal slatted trellising attached to the upper parts of the walls helps to preserve privacy and support the climbing plants, and the 50 per cent increase in planted areas is helping to reduce the surface water run-off being discharged into the drains as well as support insects and small mammal wildlife.'
